Taylor Bennett

Associate Software Engineer

Summary

I have always had an interest in technology and computers, which led me to studying Computer Science at University. This is where I developed a passion for software development and decided to pursue it as a career. At University we learnt in languages such as C, C++ and Java. This gave me a good introduction, foundation and exposure to programming and provided perspective for how languages can differ in their strengths and weaknesses, based on the ‘problems’ they are applied to solving. After completing University, I upskilled myself through self teachings and got my start in consultancy based web development roles. More recently, I have been working on large complex enterprise scale software in larger teams and following Agile methodologies. For me, the parts of software development I enjoy are: the constant learning, collaboration with others, the mentor/mentee aspects, solution architecture, seeing a project go from start to finish, and 'problem' solving.
