Open House is an urban event, showcasing outstanding local architecture. Its aim is to increase interest for architecture and urban planning. My interest is urban planning and functional design, so I was naturally a part of this event.

Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (WiSTEM) is a Nepali organisation encouraging women (8-29 y.o.) to acquire an education in the STEM fields, in order to raise their education level, remove the unfortunate stigma that women can only be housewives and decrease the gender pay gap.

1. Following the fuel crisis of September 2015 in Nepal, many news blogs sprung up without referencing sources. Me and my team members made a browser extension that warned users for unreliable websites. The extension was targeted towards Nepali users and was called Khabardar, meaning 'warning' in Nepali.

2. Tens of thousands of NGOs operate in Nepal. Cases have been recorded when what looked like decent organisations vanished, along with donations and investments made to their account. NGOs have to be officially registered at the Social Welfare Council (SWC). Unfortunately, there is no simple way to search for, or assess the reliability of those NGOs. Neither is there pertinent information provided like causes and active projects.

Grandma Knows Best was a local, environmental-friendly startup that offered cleaning services.

• Kept their website up-to-date with new campaigns. Worked closely with the designer. (Wrote php, HTML/CSS, jQuery in Sublime Text)

FuturePerfect is an annual festival that brings forward discussion on themes of sustainable living. It's a collaboration platform for increasing public engagement.

• My tasks were both hands-on (building the event and sleeping area) and managerial (managing a small team under time pressure).

• The event was held on a small island, where the main transportation was by feet. Two four-wheelers existed but had to be booked through a cumbersome and expensive process. Being tight on schedule, I enquired locals and could finally borrow a bicycle. This turned out to be a win-win: the managerial team raised its efficiency and the bicycle owner was rewarded.

Organized a public event aimed at discussing the trendy 'eco' and 'organic' subjects. Organic three-course dinner, music by local entertainers, guests including the Green Party. At Göteborgs nation, Uppsala

Nepal 2015: 9000 dead, 22000 injured after two major earthquakes and hundreds of aftershocks. 5 months later, me and my girlfriend spent 4 months in Nepal and were deeply touched by the disaster. We interviewed 20 survivors from different parts of the earthquake-affected area. Upon return, we organized an event for a local audience in Uppsala and gave a broad and nuanced view over the situation. We also raised funds through the selling of recycled bracelets from Kathmandu.

• There were 8 speakers, including from Gapminder, PeaceWorks Sweden and via direkt link from organizations in Kathmandu. And there were posters with the collected stories.

• The response from participants was very positive, there was a clear need for events that show the human side of disasters and not only death tolls in news papers.

Masters thesis as part of the School of entrepreneurship. The idea was to create a science-backed standard for measuring customer value in Swedish e-commerce.

Learned Python and created an object-oriented software that talked to hardware switches via GPIB connectors (wrote Python in Notepad++). Designed an aluminum stand for the solar cells.
