Work Experience

Work Experience

  • Software Development Engineer, Amazon

    Aug, 2022 - May, 20241 year 8 months

    • Independently designed, owned, and implemented several features and systems within projects.

    • Collaborated with my peers on the full software development lifecycle of my team’s software including: scoping, design, development, testing, deployment, operations, and documentation.

    • Communicated with several partner teams/shareholders to effectively deploy features. Features were written with clean, well-tested code to ensure they were high quality.

    • Actively participated in operational support for my team, and ensured that the root causes of operational issues are identified and resolved while on-call.

  • Control Systems Engineer, Brock Solutions

    May, 2021 - Dec, 20218 months

    • Designed electrical systems to be used in an automotive assembly plant according to customer specifications and plant limitations. The design included conveyor lines and vertical lift systems.

    • Created detailed documentation, including wiring diagrams and logic flow charts, to ensure a comprehensive product was delivered to the customer.

  • Avionics/Electrical Engineering Student, Bombardier/De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited

    May, 2019 - Apr, 20201 year

    • Familiarized myself with ICAO and EASA regulations and specified requirements for an Autonomous Distress Tracking (ADT) system to be introduced on the aircraft.

    • Created Design Change Proposals (DCPs) to replace antennas used on the aircraft with compatible and more durable replacements.

Projects Experience

Projects Experience

  • MYP – Financial Accounting System

    Jan, 2024 - Apr, 20243 months

MYP was financial accounting system that covers everything sellers have to do with payments.

    • Collaborated using an away team model, where I worked with the team who owns the platform to deliver a new feature, which would unblock stuck transactions.

    • Conducted extensive end to end, integration, and regression testing to ensure no negative customer impact. Due to the financial/accounting nature of the project and the sheer quantity of transactions flowing through the system, the code delivered to production had to be thoroughly tested.

    • Seamlessly navigated design changes during development to ensure the system owners were happy with the feature delivered.

    • Successfully demonstrated the added functionality and handed off the feature (along with detailed documentation) to the owning team

  • Fintral – Vendor Dispute Management

    Jun, 2023 - Dec, 20237 months

Fintral was a platform which enabled vendors and sellers to create, negotiate, and resolve disputes based on invoices generated on a separate platform.

    • Quickly and effectively onboarded onto an existing project to resolve bugs before a critical launch.

    • Refactored a codebase to parallelize API calls and improve system efficiency.

    • Leveraged permission management methodology to successfully launched a new feature for a platform which was already being used by clients without introducing new bugs.

    • Collaborated with QA to thoroughly test the new feature through SIT (system integration testing) and UAT (User Acceptance Testing).

  • Traverse – Warehouse Management

    Jan, 2023 - May, 20235 months

Traverse was a warehouse management solution built from the ground up completely in AWS.

    • Designed, deployed, and completely owned AWS infrastructure built in CDK (Cloud Development Kit), which was used to define infrastructure as code, from beta to production.

    • Created continuous integration and continuous deployment (CD/CI) pipelines.

    • Wrote various low level design documents based on requirements and documented system functionality.

    • Defined dashboards, metrics, and alarms for the systems to ensure operational excellence.

  • TickR – Ticketing System

    Aug, 2022 - Dec, 20224 months

TickR was a ticketing system, built on AWS architecture, which allowed third party users (external to Amazon) to cut and manage tickets to teams internal to Amazon.

    • Interacted with external users (via a product manager) and developed features based on their feedback and requests.

    • Made additions and enhancements to the frontend (UI) of the service which was written in React.

    • Built DAOs (Data Access Objects) to facilitate database management in DynamoDB.

    • Introduced and extensively tested new REST API endpoints for the service.
