  Using the Motionwatch 8 and MotionWare software, we found significant differences in sleep patterns between vaccinated and control subjects, particularly relating to localized pain after FLU/COVID-19 vaccination. Employing descriptive and non-parametric statistical tests like the Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney, we ensured robust analysis despite the small sample size. The accuracy and unique features of the MotionWatch8, such as its long battery life and waterproof design, made it a valuable tool in sleep research and pain management.

• Quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction Analysis, UH Biomedical Engineering.

  In this qPCR lab, we extracted RNA, converted it to cDNA, and quantified gene expression levels using real-time PCR with specific primers and fluorescent dyes. The results provided relative expression levels of target genes, normalized to reference genes, across different samples.
