I am a structural engineer from the University of Chile and a current student of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at College LaSalle Montreal.
Throughout my more than 10 years in structural calculation and software development for structural engineering, I have developed a deep passion for data analysis and structures. Currently, this enthusiasm is reflected in my work for Obralink, where I lead the development of a software solution for the automatic generation of models and structural analysis. This project, focused on optimizing construction processes, leverages real-time data from each work site, collected by an IoT system developed by the company.
Automating the execution of construction projects
Through technology, ObraLink provides automation for construction control, planning and concrete strength measurement of your construction project, all visualized in a BIM environment.
• Team Leader at the engineering and BIM area at the factory. Projects include prestressed
bridges, industrial, commercial and parking buildings, mining truck-shops, desalination plants and special structures, in a production that borders on 3,000 m3 of concrete each month.
• Strong knowledge and collaboration on the proposal and implementation of solutions for the factory and assembly teams.
• Coordinating and planning the execution of projects from a technical point of view, being in
permanent communication with our clients and with structural engineering subcontractors.
• Use of BIM technologies and tools (Tekla Precast).
• Team Leader at I+D for structural software development and BIM solutions, with focus on
automating design and reports generation.
• Team Leader of engineering teams and BIM modelers. Safe and efficient development of onsite and precast concrete structural engineering projects and real estate buildings. At the last time at the company, in charge of a 180,000 m2 real estate project in the Metropolitan area.
• Permanent communication with real estate clients and architectural companies during the
development of projects.
• Active use of Autodesk BIM 360 platform for the complete life of projects.
Desarrollo y revisión de proyectos de edificios de hormigón armado. Creación de software para ingeniería civil, que ha permitido optimizar y agilizar los procesos de diseño y revisión.
On February 27, 2010, a Mw 8.8 earthquake near Cobquecura severely damaged reinforced concrete buildings over 10 stories high. This study models the response of T-shaped reinforced concrete shear walls, which were particularly affected. Using fiber models and seismic data, the research reproduced the damage observed in these structures, focusing on non-linear material behavior. Key findings include the importance of enhanced confinement and controlling axial load to prevent excessive deformations, as well as the influence of the number of floors and foundation modeling on seismic performance.
Junto con un maravilloso equipo de voluntarios, participé en la construcción de un centro de acopio de miel para productores locales de Mialqui, IV Región. Fue una experiencia realmente gratificante, de significativo crecimiento personal.
