About

Having a real passion for everything IT, I turn challenges into learning opportunities. Working in the field for as long as I can remember, my first experience started hands-on as I learned how to assemble and connect computers.

As the years have passed, I continue to explore the many topics that the IT world has to offer. I usually spend my day around Ansible, Consul, Jenkins, Terraform, Docker, and most recently, Kubernetes. Along with a chatbot, they enable me to quickly deliver self-serve pipelines in order to provide teams around the organization with anything from bootstrapping a new on-premise or cloud environment, triggering a build, deploying a release or switching to a disaster recovery site.

Currently, I have strong experience in designing data-centers and networks, maintaining infrastructure on bare metal, hypervisors or containers, delivering monolithic or microserviced applications, as well as a proven track record with large scale SaaS environments and post-merger integrations. I also participate with recruiting and interviewing processes, in addition to training and mentoring new and remote team members.

EagleEye is a SaaS platform that allows retailers and other businesses to create an intelligent, real-time connection with their customers. The latest addition to our portfolio is the PCOptimum loyalty program which effectively merged both Optimum and PCplus.

One of my biggest contributions was the introduction of Jenkins and Ansible along with Consul and Vault. This allowed EagleEye to deploy, scale and secure any on-premise or cloud data center with very little operational overhead.

HostPapa's goal is to provide every customer with a fully-featured hosting package, backed by top customer service and powered by renewable green energy. HostPapa is an established, privately owned company and a leader in high-value, low-cost hosting.

For nearly 6 years I have been taking care of the servers' farm for one of the biggest Canadian hosting company, first analyzing workflows and quickly offering new and improved ones. Daily tasks included physical setup of new servers at the data centres as well as installations of hypervisors and virtual machines and their OS. Occasionally I would add or replace switches and routers and maintained an ever growing database of ip ranges and their routing tables across our infra structure.

Sébastien is a very good 'DevOps' who gets things done. Solid knowledge of the current devops toolkit, from AWS to Kubernetes. I also like Sébastien's fundamentals of IT (automation better than manual...). And it is always fun to be around him.
