  • Leverage my analytics experience to prioritize and implement new features for our no-code UI such as joins, unions, UDFs, and more based on feedback from existing and prospective clients.
  • Develop Preql's internal analytics stack on Snowflake, AWS, Github & Github Actions, dbt, and dlt (data load tool) with Python, SQL, and Bash to provide reporting on app usage and dogfood new features.
  • Work with clients to ensure Preql is providing maximum value and identify opportunities to add more value by developing new or changing existing features.

Highlights
  • Develop analytics stacks with AWS, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, etc., for clients from scratch with an eye towards scalability, cost-effectiveness, and ease of use
  • Use open source tools like Meltano and Github Actions set up free or extremely cheap ELT pipelines for clients, saving tens of thousands of dollars per month.
  • Refactor a client's event data ingestion flow by optimizing ingestion, cloud storage, data warehouse, and query configurations, saving > $100,000 per year and reducing ingestion time from 12+ hours to 1 hour.
  • Translate business problems into technical solutions, working cross-functionally with stakeholders and engineers to define and prioritize their analytics roadmaps, ensuring that requirements are met.
  • Founded and lead Brooklyn Data's internal Data Engineering user group. Each week I would help engineers of all skill levels debug their code, give lessons on technology internals, and facilitate conversations around Data and Analytics Engineering.
