Senior Software Engineer
Worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Cimpress, where I was involved in the development of various projects related to data engineering and cloud computing
Highlights
- Built an API using AWS ECS Fargate and ElastiCache to serve as a wrapper for Segment's Profile API to overcome its limitations, such as lack of CORS, caching and to improve response times. Implemented a blue-green deployment strategy using AWS CodeDeploy and set up auto-scaling rules to handle increased traffic for the API. Utilized AWS KMS and Secrets Manager to securely store and rotate Segment access tokens, and established JWT and OIDC session token-based authentication for the API.
- Achieved streamlined marketing operations through the development of a marketing automation solution, generating and sending generic/unique discount codes via email campaigns. Utilized AWS DynamoDB to store campaign data and discount codes, tracking ROI by integrating with Segment and Snowflake.
- Enhanced cost management and security by tagging AWS resources and implementing Akeyless Gateway for client credential rotation, achieving RFC-3 compliance. Remediated critical vulnerabilities in code, containers, and infrastructure using Snyk SAST and SCA, while addressing cloud risks detected by Orca to ensure a secure and compliant environment.
- Orchestrated seamless Single-Sign-On across all Segment workspaces using Auth0 Regular Web Page Clients and CloudFront Functions, configuring Auth0 IdP with Segment for secure authentication. Set up custom DNS records for domain security and streamlined login processes.
- Facilitated team-wide upskilling and improved onboarding efficiency by mentoring new hires, conducting workshops on technologies like TypeScript, Postgres, and React, and configuring reusable CI/CD pipelines for testing, code quality, and security checks while documenting best practices for long-term consistency.
