Backend engineer on the team owning Bitly's core links and QR Codes features, built on a large service-oriented architecture using queuing and asynchronous processing (Golang, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, NSQ, Bigtable).
Wrote production-grade, efficiency-focused code for Bitly's high-traffic decode service, which handles sustained heavy load as well as sudden extreme spikes.
Led epics end-to-end: scoped and spiked out the approach, broke work into tickets, took point on execution, and helped assign and unblock work for the team.
Led the backend engineering guild and organized multiple company-wide hackweeks.
Mentored a junior engineer, participated in the on-call rotation, and served as team representative for bi-weekly bug refinement.
Led the charge on sharing and standardizing AI rulesets and skills. The AI repository now has several well-refined rulesets and skills and over a dozen contributors.
